They called us from 7 de SJD because the exterior appearance of the house had long been outdated.
Over time, the facades had lost their waterproofing properties, the boundary fence no longer provided adequate security when entering and exiting the house, and there were numerous functional aspects that could be improved to optimize the outdoor spaces of the residence. In short, a comprehensive project for exterior renovation and landscape design was necessary.
The intervention project focused on correcting these issues and renewing the 1970s style of this detached home in the suburban area of Barcelona.

The most significant decisions included applying a SATE system (External Thermal Insulation Composite System) across the entire facade, widening the staircase to the full width of the front setback to provide the house with a more comfortable access, while also gaining a storage space beneath the stairs (accessible from the garage), and creating an enjoyable space: a winter garden at the same level as the ground floor of the house.
The new party walls, the exterior lighting design, the renewal of finishes, and a jacuzzi in the rear patio completed the project.
The fence designed for the facade was given a materiality and height that not only provides the required security but also acts as a visual filter for the winter garden located above the garage, renewing the style of the house without losing its essence.
